As an artist or an entertainer, you must use every gift God has given you to glorify him. Many
artist and entertainers of today’s age have chosen to promote wicked ideologies and walk in
accordance with the world; even some who call themselves followers of Christ. This is why we
must pray that entertainers will honor God in all their works, whether singing, acting, or any
form of art that God has gifted them in.
“Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever
things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things
are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.” –
Philippians 4:8
” And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to
God and the Father by him.” – Colossians 3:17
Artists and entertainers influence and inspire much of our culture. This is why this gift shouldn’t
be taken lightly! Instead of following the world and promoting darkness, you must promote what
is pure and of God. Prioritizing money and fame are not what God calls us to do. If we align with
Him and promote His teachings, what we need in life will follow. Since God has blessed you
with such a great gift, it must be used wisely. Because He has given it to you, he knows how it
should be used!
” Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have, because God
has said, “Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you.”” – Hebrews 13:5
” I will not look with approval on anything that is vile. I hate what faithless people do; I will
have no part in it.” – Psalms 101
” Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your
mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and
perfect will.” – Romans 12:2
Likewise, as consumers, we must be careful with which forms of art and entertainment we
consume. We must steer away from every worldly and ungodly form of art. We must not leave
any open doors to the enemy! And remember to pray for these entertainers and artists we see
promoting the works of the enemy. Pray that God will reveal himself to them, so they may use
their gifts to promote His light!
