7 MOUNTAINS OF INFLUENCE: EDUCATION

Being a teacher is a powerful calling. However, many teachers in today’s society are not working for God, but for the enemy. Teachers instruct and set an example for our upcoming generation. This is why are education system needs to be led by more men and women of God. Our education system has to be led by people who not only hear from the Holy Spirit, but listen to his instructions.

“And the things you have heard me say in the presence of many witnesses entrust to reliable people who will also be qualified to teach others.” – 2 Timothy 2:2

“In everything set them an example by doing what is good. In your teaching show integrity, seriousness and soundness of speech that cannot be condemned, so that those who oppose you may be ashamed because they have nothing bad to say about us.” – Titus 2:7-8

This is why we must consult the Holy Spirit in all things and receive a good leading from God. Many ways seem right to us, but once we consult the Lord, we realize it is not.

“Not many of you should become teachers, my fellow believers, because you know that we who teach will be judged more strictly.” – James 3:1

“Start children off on the way they should go, and even when they are old they will not turn from it.” – Proverbs 22:6

Being a teacher is an important role! You are called to change lives. You impact the thought processes and ideas of those you are instructing, regardless of age. The knowledge and instruction that you place on your students, they also, in turn, spread to those around them. One lesson can create a ripple effect in the lives of all your students. This is why our teachings must align with God’s word!

“Instruct the wise and they will be even wiser; teach the righteous and they will add to their learning.” – Proverbs 9:9

“The beginning of wisdom is this: Get wisdom. Though it cost all you have, get understanding.” – Proverbs 4:7

“Therefore anyone who sets aside one of the least of these commands and teaches others accordingly will be called least in the kingdom of heaven, but whoever practices and teaches these commands will be called great in the kingdom of heaven.” – Matthew 5:19

“In fact, though by this time you ought to be teachers, you need someone to teach you the elementary truths of God’s word all over again. You need milk, not solid food!” – Hebrews 5:12
